The reason I chose to become a member of the ANA and my local chapter ARNA is because I wanted to become more involved with making a difference in nursing in Arkansas and having a voice for various issues that plague nursing not just in my home state but nationwide such as the opioid crisis, nurse to patient ratios and staffing shortages.
